Grandpa (Orig. title: Forechecking Morfar)

Martin and Gerd take their grandson Olle to a hockey game. It's the disctrict championship finals and Olle is about to break in the skates his grandpa gave him for Christmas. Olle doesn't enjoy playing hockey very much anymore and would rather stay at home, drawing. But it is, after all, the finals and grandpa is hoping for a victory. The game begins and it turns out that Olle won't be allowed to play - he doesn't measure up, according to the coach. Naturally, his grandpa can't allow this. He starts to fight for Olle's right to play, a fight he's not willing to lose. "It's just a game", after all.

In co-production with Filmpool Nord, Film i Västerbotten, with support from film commissioner Anne-Marie Söhrman Fermelin at the Swedish Film Institute. The Production is partly financed by BRATEK thru their prize for Best Short 2005 at Gothenburg Film Festival. Per Hanefjord received it for his short, A GOOD DAY.
